Your Darkened Silenced Forest

Where is the shade from your branches to offer me relief from the heat?

I walk through your darkened and silenced forest,

More often then I should,

Only to see your past shadows hiding behind the trunks of wise old trees,

.We use to jump and play in those fall leaves,

Mesmorized and intoxicated by each other and our surroundings,

Now the only light that penetrates those woods of yours,

Is the oil lamp that I hold between tired hands,

As I weave in and out of worn out paths that you continue to stroll along.

I Covet His Nature

Whisper to me like you did those years ago,

When your whispers blew through me like a pleasant breeze,

Touch my skin like the raindrops that fall upon my flesh,

Leaving moisture that remains and glistens,

Bring back those passions that bubbled over,

Like lava spitting from a volcano,

Remind me of the heat we had that burned like the sun,

So I can covet you the remainder of my days.

He Was The Air That I Breathed

Oxygen is colorless, odorless and has no taste,

It is a gaseous element,

Although not colorful or seen,

It is essential for all of life,

Oxygen is a requirement for living,

We need air to breathe or we would die,

Oxygen does flow through our blood,

which is carried from our lungs when we inhale,

To thrive inside our bodies through our cells,

And keep us healthy and alive.

The sun provides the earths’ required heat,

It is a necessity for mankind to live,

Without the suns’ warmth we would all die,

Solar power makes all our gardens grow,

It keeps us nourished to eat,

We have harnessed and used its incredible energy,

To help save our planet and our environment,

It now heats homes and provides movement for cars,

It can also decorate your lawn with lights that glow at night,

The intensity and use of the sun is unsurpassed,

I embrace, love, respect and recognize its incredible potency in my life.
